The promotion of a multi-source solution

Transport operators have designed Calypso with standardization and multi-sourcing in mind, and therefore available to all operators from many industrial companies.

Calypso is not a proprietary system belonging to one manufacturer but an open solution available to all through means of a licence.

The goal of the Calypso Licence policy is to:

• Ensure a strong coherence of the Calypso compliant products.
• Extend the Calypso ticketing standard and ensure the largest diffusion of the technology
• Finance the research and development costs.
• Finance the Calypso Networks Association, the technology evolution and promotion.
